Javares Selby (Augusta, GA) started his career at the John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School with Sharon Mayfield, a New York Dance and Performance Award “Bessie” recipient at the Garth Fagan Dance Company. Javares is a 2021 BFA Cum Laude alumnus of The University of the Arts and Presidential Scholar full scholarship recipient. He previously danced professionally with DBDT: Encore! for two seasons and is now ecstatic to delve into his second season with Dallas Black Dance Theatre.
