Akeia Fuqua (Huntsville, AL) received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama, May 2024. Her journey in dance began at the Dance Theatre of Huntsville, where she underwent comprehensive training in various styles, including modern, contemporary, Dunham, lyrical, classical ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop.

Competing since the age of seven, Akeia has had the privilege of working with renowned professionals such as Amber Jackson, Andy Pellic, Joey Lanteri, and several others. Her dedication to dance has earned her prestigious awards, including the Outstanding Dancer Award at New York City Dance Alliances for multiple years, as well as accolades from competitions like Jump Dance Convention, Radix, and Nuvo.

Transitioning into her collegiate years, Akeia has had the privilege of training with accomplished choreographers and dancers from diverse backgrounds. The next chapters of her dance career promise to be a testament to her talent, dedication, and the diverse training she has received throughout her remarkable journey.
