
Citibank Sponsors 12th Annual Founder’s Luncheon Of Dallas Black Dance Theatre
3 Community Honorees to Receive Founder’s Award

DALLAS— Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT) will celebrate its Twelfth Annual Founder’s Luncheon at the Hilton Anatole on January 11, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. The luncheon celebrates the vision of DBDT Founder/Artistic Director Ann Williams and acknowledges the community’s support of Dallas’ only full-time professional dance company. Fox 4 News’ Clarice Tinsley will host the ceremonies, which includes the presentation of the Founder’s Award to civic and business leaders for their contributions both to the community and to the arts. The 2008 honorees are The Warrior Group (Gail and Wayne Lawrence), Texas Instruments, Incorporated and Texas Instruments Foundation.
Citibank is the presenting sponsor of the luncheon ($25,000) for the second consecutive year. “At Citi, we partner with nonprofit organizations that have the vision, determination and capacity to change things for the better in this community,” said Debbie Taylor, Southwest Regional Director, Community Relations, Citi. "The Dallas Black Dance Theatre is one of those great organizations and we are proud to be supporting their tremendous work."

For the past two years, the luncheon has reached unprecedented attendance and fundraising levels for this event. Proceeds for this annual fundraiser support DBDT’s operations and community education and outreach programs. To achieve the fundraising goal, DBDT will auction exquisite, one-of-a-kind blown glass vases and bowls from Seapoot’s Studio Collection that will be displayed as centerpieces on each table. Silent auction items include Airline Tickets, Sports Tickets, and Hotel Packages.
